seaside day 2

Well we made it back and are now in recovery mode (aka vacation detox!).

Here are a few vacation stats:

17 bags for just the three of us (not including luggage or golf clubs!)

32 hours of driving (almost all of which Nemo was playing in the car!!)

Over 2000 miles traveled

6  fabulous days at the beach

Countless cups of Ice Cream

Lots of giggles and smiles from our Addi-Girl

1047 pictures taken!

11 loads of laundry when we got home...
I am proud to report that they are ALL finished, folded/hung up and put away now!!!)

 DAY TWO
...off to the beach!
Addi still wasn't sure if she liked it or not.  She held on to Poppy tight!
Watching the waves and just thinking about getting in.
"I think I'd rather take a nap.  Good thing Mama brought my boppy and lovie!"
Lulu walked Addi down the beach and she insisted on taking BOTH her lovies with her!  It looked so hot!!
Nothing like a little power nap to make you feel rejuvenated!
Lulu had some pieces of paper that Addi latched on to and called them her "business".
Here she is...taking care of business!
Still just watching the waves...not getting in!
Playing in the beach chair.
"Uncle Trevor, I have your flip flops for you!!!!"
Lulu got Addi "surprises" each day we were there.  Addi looked forward to them every morning!  Lulu found birthday party favor bags with Minnie Mouse on them and packaged each "surprise" in a bag!  It was such a fun idea!  Some of her surprises were:  necklaces, Nemo fruit snacks, nail polish, cookies for the beach, a new green sundress and Mickey beach towel (obviously it didn't fit in the bag, but was still a "surprise") and so on!  She also got these neon mini cups (I won't use their real name!).  Addi had the best time filling them with water and pouring them into the empty cups.  Those might be fun to put Jell-O in...don't you think?
Of course she had to sit on her new Mickey towel and Aunt Jackie had to sit there too...with the necklaces on her knee.  Guess who's getting bossy these days??  Addi's first daycare provider, Peg, called her Bossy Boots at the young age of 3 months old!  Guess she hit the nail on the head with that nick name!!

She made a huge water mess on the kitchen floor, but who cared!  It was fun!!
Our house was one block from the beach!  It was 3 stories and the 4th floor was a "look out" deck.
Check out this view!!!
Going back downstairs!  Sorry I cut your head off Scott!
Would have been a reall cute pic the other way...oops!
Addi had Poppy wrapped around her little finger (well, we all were, but Poppy would do anything Addi wanted!)  Addi loved playing with the Elmo Monster Maker (thanks Brittany for the recommendation!).
I just love this picture of Addi looking up at him!
Another fun day!!!
Day 3 tomorrow...

1- Can we discuss 17 bags before luggage? It hurts me to imagine this.

2- 11 loads of laundry??? Addi is too small to make that many loads!! ;)

3- Can she bring those fun little glasses to the wedding?
