not our christmas card picture!

Addi's school took school pictures last week and instead of buying the typical packages, they offered the digital file to use on Christmas cards! What a great idea! The photographer only got two pictures of Addi before she started crying. I know they are copyrighted pictues, but I couldn't bring myself to pay $30 for one of these. I took a picture of my computer screen just so I could share. Enjoy...I've laughed so hard at these!



Good thing I wasn't set on using this for our Christmas cards this year!!!

first ou football game

Yesterday was the day...the weather was perfect and the time was right. The OU game kicked off at 11:30 and the high was 70 degrees...what could be better?? Scott and I (mainly Scott though) decided that it was about time Addi experience her first OU football game. I haven't been in two seasons so I was excited to go too. Addi was such a trooper. She even went to Campus Corner with us before the game to mingle with our friends. Uncle Stu met up with us and he got the assigned task of carrying Addi since we didn't take the stroller!



I know she looks totally miserable in this picture, but she really had a great time!

She just studied everything and took it all in...for about 10 minutes.

And then...
She was out! Not many 14-month olds could sleep through almost an entire half of an OU football game, but this one can! She snoozed and woke up just before halftime, when we left. Oh well, she really did great and now she can go back to school and tell all her friends that she's been to an OU game!

turkey day, round 3

After we had lunch on Thursday, we drove to Duncan to spend some time with the Hofmann side of the family. It's a good thing Addi had two turkey shirts, because she got one dirty at LuLu and Pops house, so she changed before we left!

Addi loved exploring Great G-Ma and G-Pa's front and back yard...they have so many fun things!

This is Scott's stepping stone in his grandma's garden. She has one with every grandkid's name. They are really cute and we thought Addi needed her picture by her daddy's paver.

We had such a great time with the Duncan bunch and can't wait for Christmas! I already have my "quality Christmas gift" picked out for Dirty Santa!!!!

turkey day, round 2

Well round two started on Wednesday night when we drove to Ardmore and spent the night with LuLu and Pops. Addi loved playing with LuLu's domestic toys, such as measuring cups, funnels and wooden spoons. She kept putting the funnel on top of her head and saying, "Hat!"...she looked like the Tin Man!




Then she found the staircase and that quickly became a game! She loved peeking around the corner at DaDa and Bailey. All I can say is thank goodness we live in a one story house!!




Before lunch today, we attempted to take pictures with Addi. This is her new face...cute huh?
This is the best one Scott got of the two of us. You don't even notice that she staring at the pumpkin he's balancing on his head!
I just thought this one was funny...so typical!

This is the cutest one. Boy does this daddy love his baby girl!!

As usual, mom made a wonderful Thanksgiving meal for us! Trevor and Jackie were celebrating with her family this year, so hopefully we will get them next year! We sure missed them!
After lunch, Addi had a little play time with Pops before we all went for a little walk on the golf course. It was such a beautiful day and we all needed the exercise!

turkey day, round 1

Today was Thanksgiving at Addison's school. The parents were invited to come eat lunch with the kids. By the time we got into the "cafeteria" all of the highchairs were taken so we ended up sitting at the little toddler tables. I was so nervous that Addison was going to fall out of the chair but she did GREAT!!! She loved sitting by herself in the big girl chair! It was such a special lunch and it reminded us all how very much we have to be thankful for!

"Ooooo...I get to eat turkey today with Mommy!"
"Cheese!!" I'm so excited Mommy is here!
Look at me sitting at the toddler table! I love this roll! Mommy looks so proud!

This is my friend William and his mommy and daddy. William is a pro at just about everything! He inspired me to use a spoon today and he can even drink from a grown-up cup...I didn't try that! He also says, "Amen!" when he prays! He's such a great friend! I am thankful for him!


Here is MO with her Mommy and Gran. I'm very thankful for them too! They are such great friends! Tonight for the first time, I actually said, "MO!!" and now I like to say it a lot! She can say my name too!
I am also so thankful for my wonderful school. I just love going there everyday while Mommy and Daddy are at work. I have some wonderful friends there and I just LOVE my teachers. Mommy is sad because she wanted to get my picture with Miss Beth and Miss Kara today but forgot. They are my morning teachers. My afternoon teachers are so great too! I really am one lucky girl!

Addi loved round 1 of Thanksgiving. She really is my daughter because she unfortunatley inherited my love for carbs. For lunch this girl ate two dinner rolls with "dippie" (aka: gravy) and a piece of chocolate cake. This is the only time in her life when it just doesn't matter!
