a tale of 2 tails, part 2

We're still talking about the same sweet girl in Part 1.
Her name is Addi and she doesn't like wearing 2 tails in her hair.

Her mommy and daddy really like it though so they have to bribe her a lot.

On this particular evening, they promised to go to the park if she would leave her 2 tails in.  Addi promised, so they loaded up in the stroller and headed to the park.

Oh no Addi!  You'd better let your mommy fix that tail or you won't get to go to the park!

Whew! Good thing she got it back in because they all had so much fun at the park!

Addi loves to swing the most!

Addi did such a great job and left her 2 tails in the whole night!

Her mommy and daddy were very proud of her.

And they lived happily ever after!

a tale of 2 tails

Once upon a time there was a cute little girl named Addi.  She didn't have very much hair for almost 2 years, so when she finally grew enough to wear it in 2 tails, her mommy and daddy loved it!  They wanted her to wear2 tails all the time, but Addi wouldn't leave them in for very long.

Her mommy and daddy finally had to bribe her with Buzz candy (aka Pez candy).

Addi loved Buzz candy so she made a deal with her mommy and daddy.

If she would wear 2 tails in her hair, she could eat 4 Buzz Candies!

That's a heck of deal!

It's a win-win, don't you think?

Especially when you're  THIS cute wearing 2 tails!

...to be continued.

more ardmore

When we were in Ardmore last weekend, MiMi & PaPa kept Addi on Saturday night while we went to a wedding. From the looks of these pictures, I'd say she had a great time!

Baking cookies...

Being silly in her pumpkin jammies...
(Oh my gosh! She looks like my brother in this picture!!

And sweeping in her high heals and diaper!

Thank you MiMi & Papa!

2 tails duck call

We were in Ardmore last weekend for a wedding and we had a great time just hanging out at my parents house on Saturday.  We lounged around in our jammies for a long time, which was wonderful!  Addi decided to play dress up with some new Tinkerbell toys that LuLu got her and she even let me put TWO TAILS in her hair for the very first time ever!! I was so excited!  She did a really great job of not messing with them and they stayed in almost all day!  Way to go Addi!

Uncle Trevor got out a duckcall and Addi thought it was the funniest thing ever!  This video is grainy because it was on my phone but it was too cute not to post.

Here are some other cute pictures of her just goofing around with her Tink toys.

Then she found LuLu's makeup drawer.  She wore brown eye shadow as blush...she looked like a football palyer!

"Do I look pretty Mommy?"

"Oh I forgot one thing...tick-tick!"

Still looking for more!

"I can't get the lid off!"

"Oh yeah, blush! I almost forgot!"

Time to clean up!

One of Addi's favorite things at LuLu and Poppy's house is her pink swing on their backporch!

She likes to go really high!!

"WEEEEE!!"

Goofy girl!

Thanks for all the fun!  Pictures from MiMi & PaPa's coming soon!

2 new things

On Friday, Addi's teacher sent home a note saying that she would no longer be using a sippy cup at school!  She asked me to bring 2 cups for her to use instead!  We made a very big deal about it and even made a special trip to Target to pick out new cups.  Addi chose a small tumbler with birdies on it and a one that had Santa Clause on it!  I promised to buy her the Santa one but asked her to pick out another one for school.  So she ended up choosing one with the alphabet.  I didn't get pictures of her new cups, but I did get pictures of her using a big girl cup.  She was so proud of herself!

The other new thing...
HER BED!!!

Scott converted it to her toddler bed this morning!  She's been trying to climb out for about a week now and I wanted to get it chanaged before she fell and landed on her head!  She was a little confused when she first got in it.

I was worried about naptime today, but she did great!  We read a book and then I put her in and covered her up.  She never once tried to get out.  I told her that she had to stay in her bed and if she needed anything to just yell my name.  I was afraid she was going to start yelling my name every minute, but she didn't.  I was so proud of her today!  What a big girl.  I'm not ready for her to become such an independent little girl, but I guess I don't really have a say in when it happens.  She slept for nearly two hours and I must have checked the video monitor about 50 times!

Before bed tonight she got excited about getting in her big girl bed.

Of course, we had to have roll call an make sure everyone was where they were supposed to be: OU doll, dolly, glow worm, yellow nemo (aka Flounder), Harper, duckie, 2 lovies, 1 boppy (aka pacie), 2 blankies, 1 pillow and Addi!

Everyone's ready for bed!

Good Night. Sleep Tight. I'll See you in the Morning.

mason's birthday party

Last Friday we got to go to Orr Family Farm to help Mason celebrate her 2nd Birthday!  We've never taken Addi before and she had a GREAT time!  We will definitely be going back!

Check out these three sweet girls having so much fun!

"Wissies!! I see wissies Daddy!!!"

Yep! There were horses for the kids to ride!

Addi just wanted to sit and watch for a while.

There's the birthday girl!  Way to go Mason!!

Chloe did a great job too!  Her mom's a natural!

Addi was ready for her turn.  Scott took her in and guess what?

She totally freaked out!!

Nope. No wissies today.

All aboard!  The wooden choo-choo quickly cheered her up though!

"Come on guys!  Follow me!"

For some reason she wanted to go back and watch the wissies some more...but from a distance.

Olivia rode the fake horse!  Addi wouldn't even get close to the fake one!

Next was the REAL train!  Scott bought a huge bag of kettle corn and was everyone's instant best friend.  The bag was nearly gone by the time the train ride was over.  I don't know if the kids liked the train or the popcorn more!

Next was the carousel.  Addi hated the wissies.  Shocker.  Look at what a big girl Oliva was and Addi made Scott hold her the whole time.

Tripp & Marissa

Happy Birthday Mason!  Thanks for inviting us to your awesome party!
