happy october...owloween is this month!!
Happy October everyone!! Addi was excited to bust out her Owloween shirt! My mom bought it at Target last year when I was still in the hospital after Addi was born. At the time, it seemed like she would never wear the shirt, but now it fits and she looks adorable! Don't you think?? And don't those birthday shoes look so cute?

she's got the birthday blues
Poor Addison has had the birthday blues! We went to her 12-month check up on Monday and found out that she has another double ear infection! On top of that, she's cutting 4 teeth and is covered in a mysterious rash that's a virus. She also had to get two shots...Monday was not a good day for our baby girl! She weighed in at 18 pounds, 6 ounces (which is in the 10th percentile) and measured 30 inches (which is in the 80th percentile). I told her she's going to be tall and skinny just like her Mommy - that's supposed to be funny because I'm only 5'2" on my very best (tallest) day!
We also celebrated her birthday at school with Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffins (I'll post that recipe soon too). All the kiddos loved the muffins. Addi wasn't impressed that I brought her party hat to school and made her wear it in front of her friends! I think we are officially finished celebrating her birthday!

fall festival
After Addi's party on Saturday, we went to the Annual Fall Festival at her school. She had a fun time with Olivia and William. She loved walking with daddy around the gym, but the highlight was riding Joe, the pony! This girl would only ride side saddle...why am I not surprised?

After the Fall Festival, we went to The Mont with the Roberts for dinner. We thought Addi deserved a "I celebrated my birthday at The Mont" t-shirt, but they didn't come in size 12 month! Addi was so worn out from her big day, that she wasn't really cooperating after we were through with dinner. I'm sad I didn't get a better picture of the girls at Birthday Dinner, but at least I got these.

Needless to say, we were all exhausted on Sunday and just recuperated from all of Saturday's festivities.

post-party photoshoot
After Addison's party, we had a little photoshoot in the frontyard. Addi had fun working the camera!

it's my party
What a day! Addison had a really big day on Saturday...more details to come soon. Her Birthday party, however, was the highlight of the day! She wasn't quite sure what to think with all of her family and friends at the house on top of the presents, balloons, cakes and cake dots, etc., etc. We felt so blessed to have so many people there with us to celebrate Addison's first year. We love you all!

Opening gifts...this was so much fun!

This is my mommy's friend Carrie. They lived together in college. She drove all the way to Norman from Houston last year on my birthday just to see me! That is her baby, Scout, on her hip.

I just saw my balloons!! They are so colorful!

Why is eveyone singing to me?

Oh, for me?
I don't think I want any of that stuff! What is it?
Okay well maybe just one bite. It does look pretty yummy!
Okay, I'll have a little bit more. It's pretty tasty!
Oops! Mommy forgot my hat while everyone sang to me so we put it on for a few pics. This is such a silly hat...why am I wearing it?

Fun with Carrie and Scout. I forgot to tell you that Carrie made my shirt for me! She is so crafty! She even has an etsy shop called Front Porch Threads! You should check it out!!! Thanks Carrie for my cute birthday shirt!!!

Mommy really wanted to get a "kids picture". Most of the kids had already left by the end of the party, but she insisted on getting one anyways. She had this great idea to stick us in the wagon. I didn't want to get in that wagon!!!

Party favors for my friends (glitter bouncy balls, bubbles and stickers)!
