happy birthday hudson and campbell

Our dear friends, the Browns, always have really fun birthday parties for their boys, Hudson and Campbell.  Last year's party was a costume party and it was a blast! This year was cowboy themed and it was darling!

Hot dogs, lemonade, hay rides, cowboy hats and more!!

Addi was a little unsure about Rowdy, the mini horse, who was letting kids ride him.  We steered clear of Rowdy.

And just for the occasion, Addi wore her red cowgirl boots from PaPa.

The party was at Suzanne's parent's house and they have the BEST backyard...a swing set, tree house, slides, trampoline, teeter-totter and more!!

The cupcakes were super yummy!!

Suzanne even had cowboy/girl hats for each kiddo.  So great!

Cowgirl Olivia!

And Cowgirl Addi!

Ems loved the cupcakes too!

Sister picture photo-op!

Look at these two sillies!  So funny!

Hal Pal had fun at the party too!

Group picture!

Then the pinata!  This made me really nervous with all the kids around but no one got hurt so it all ended well!

I was so proud of my girl!  She made contact with the pinata every time she swung!  Way to go Addi!!!

Trav didn't like all the kids huddling around either and made them all line up behind him.  He looked like the Pied Piper!

CANDY!!!!

Posing with the Birthday Boy!

Pouty-I-don't-want-to-go face.

SUCH a fun party!  Happy birthday Hudson and Campbell!

asleep

I just loving pictures of babies who fell asleep doing something...like jumping or eating.

crockpot applesauce

Ingredients:
8 medium red apples
1 c. water
½ c. sugar
1 t. cinnamon

Directions:
Peel and core apples.  Cut into bitesize chunks.  Place apples, water, sugar and cinnamon in a Crockpot and set on high.  Cover with lid.  Once the apples are soft and musy, use a potato masher to smash them.  After a couple hours of cooking, add a little more sugar.  Keep mashing every so often until apples are desired consistency.

Every fall we get on a Honeycrisp Apple kick.  I just stocked up at the store so that's what we used in our applesauce.

Addi loved the thought of us making the Applesauce.  I peeled the apples but let her do everything else and she was so proud when it was ready!

I don't even like applesauce and even I thought this was delicious!  I liked it warm...it basically tasted like pie filling.  We will definitely be making this again!

ou homecoming

The OU vs. Texas Tech game was Homecoming weekend for the Sooners. We had about 12 events on the calendar that Saturday, but the most important one was the parade!  Addi loved it two years ago (I don't remember why we didn't make it last year?) and I just knew she'd love it again!  Halle was super excited too!

The Roberts were there too and the big girls had so much fun running and dancing before the parade started!

Hugs for Halle!

Sweet friends!

Then Moves Like Jagger started playing over the speakers and O was a dancin' girl!!

And they're off again...

Sister pictures!

Time to head over to get our spots before the parade started!

Sweet sweet friends!

Can you say Monkey See Monkey Do??

A was in love with the cheerleaders, especially since she has Aunt Shelby's REAL pom poms just like the OU cheerleaders!

O loved the "ton-twirler" since that's what she's going to be for Halloween!

The girls were cracking me up! They kept yelling, "We wand candy!!!!!"

E even to a sucker.  She is a second child, right Liz?

The girls were very proud of the Frisbees they scored at the parade. The only picture I got of them with the Frisbees they were coving up both of their faces. Oh well.

After the parade we headed over to a tailgate party for my boss's son, Brad.  He turned 30 last week and she thew him a surprise tailgate party! It was so much fun.
Addi calls all tailgate parties "OU Football Parties."

This is the only family pic we got...Scott's eyes are closed and Halle is eating.  Again...oh well.

Cute "OU football party" pic!

Too bad the Sooners lost the game.  We had a fun Homecoming Saturday though!
