the adventures of geoffrey the elf

Our Elf on the Shelf, Geoffrey, came to our house a little early this year.  He showed up the week before Thanksgiving, maybe because Addi was having a hard time listening.  He was a super silly elf this year and here are some of the funny things he did...

Hanging from our lights in Addi's slinky:

And just look at the mess he made with her rubber bands!  Notice he spelled out ADDI on the left side?  He's one smart cookie, I tell ya!

And check out this tea party!! Only the coolest toys got invited, I heard.

Back in the bathroom, Geoffrey became quite the ladies man.  oh geez.

Lounging in some cotton balls...

He even decorated a cupcake for Addi in Ardmore!

And then he found Uncle Trevor's duck call!

Geoffrey we had so much fun watching you elf around this year!  Please come back and see us soon!

Merry Christmas 2011

From our family to yours...

Merry Christmas!

santa baby

We went to the mall last Sunday so the girls could take pictures with Santa.  Addi decided that she didn't want to and I certainly wasn't going to make her so it was Halle solo.  She had a slight melt down when I walked away, but Santa called me back up there.  Once we got her calmed down they snapped the pic with me sitting right next to her.  Pretty genius, huh?

Addi did visit with Santa at the Candy Cane Brunch so she thought that was good enough for this year.

Happy first Christmas Halle!!

the THIRD annual hofmann/roberts christmas

I can't believe it's the THIRD annual already...and now there are FOUR sweet girlies!

Of course we started the evening with a group picture attempt.

It was a great attempt...

But unsuccessful.  I need to figure out how to crop faces and put them into different pictures.  I think Liz and I have a lifetime of group picture attempts ahead of use.  Hopefully they will get better as the girls get older!

Before opening gifts.  H was asleep at this point and E was playing.

Playing where?  In Addi's room.  Liz and I had already picked up the room a few times and realized it was a lost cause.  These girls had more fun making the biggest mess of their lives.  It was totally worth it, though, because they had a ball!

I did end up with an okay picture of my two girlies.

candy cane brunch

Sunday was the annual Candy Cane Brunch with Santa at the country club.  Addi was ready to talk to Santa and to take a picture, but I wasn't so sure it was going to end well.

Halle was still sick.  She was a trooper, but I could tell she just wanted to go home.  Poor 2nd child gets drug all over the place, even when their sick.

A & O were perfectly content sitting in the window seat playing iPhones.

How cute are these two?

I wish you could have heard the squeals when they notice that they were wearing the same shoes!  Priceless!

Sweet Ems.

When Santa made his big entrance, Addi did GREAT!  She wanted to be held but she actually spoke to him, gave him high 5's and best of all, didn't cry!!

Afte we ate it was time to for pictures.  The Roberts went first and Addi watched from a distance.

Our turn!

After a little coaxing and a few promises made, Addi sat on Scott's lap and smiled like a pro!

A & O decided they would take a picture IN FRONT OF Santa.  They even agreed Addi would stand by his left foot and Olivia would stand by his right foot.  They seriously crack me up!

I had already turned my camera off and was packing up when this happened and my flash wasn't turned on.  I'm sick these didn't turn out better, but hopefully the photographer got some better shots!

I have to say, I was really surprised by how well the morning went.  Halle did cough so hard she threw up in her car seat right before we were leaving but she had already done that a few times that weekend, so it wasn't anything new.  I disassembled, washed and reassembled her car seat when we got home and in record time, I might add.

the nutcracker 2012

The time finally came to go to the Nutcracker ballet!  We read the book 10,000 times (with the Clara stickers I made), watched the Barbie movie over and over and over and Addi even got a tiny little Nutcracker in her Advent calendar the day before.  She was vibrating with excitement!

Such a fun Mommy-Addi date.

Of course our two besties came too...

Liz and I promised to take them for cupcakes before the show.  Well when we pulled up at the cupcake shop, we realized it was closed on Sunday.  When in doubt, head to Starbucks, right?

The girls when right to the pastry counter and picked out pumpkin scones!  As Liz said, we're fancy like that.

She was SOOOOO excited!!

Addi, our mommies said to be quiet...

After we left Starbucks and got parked, we walked to the ballerina statue on campus so the girls to could make wishes and throw their pennies in the water.

Look, I see me!

Plop went the penny...

I love their reflections.

We're getting closer...

On the porch of Rupel Jones Theater so excited to go in...

Addi, stand like a flamingo like in dance class!

Okay!  Like this?

Funny side note...I told Addi that when you're in dance and stand like a flamingo it's called Passe.  She quickly told me that Passe is French for over.  I paused and she quickly said, like in my Purplalicious book mom.  Isn't it funny what they pick up and learn?

After the Passe rehearsal, came jumps!

Once we got inside we got all settled in our seats.  I love it that their toes barely reached the edge of their seats.

They started getting restless...

So we pulled out the phones for them to play with.  Perfect!

Show time!!

When we were leaving Clara and two snowflake princesses were in the lobby and the girls got their pictures taken with their new favorite celebrities.  They were in heaven!!

What a magical day!  This is definitely something we will be doing for many Christmases to come!!
