cooper & meg

Last weekend, Addi had two friends over to play...Cooper Cunningham and Meg Varner. Their mommies came too and it was SO much fun!  The kids played great together.  As you can imagine, three kids running around the house and every toy out that we own, it was a little nutty at times.  I'm sad I didn't get better pictures, but they never slowed down long enough!  I guess I should be please I at least got these...ha!

Cooper loved the bouncy ball right off the bat!

Then he and Meg played with the glitter ball.

Addi was just in heaven, showing Cooper and Meg all of her toys.  Cooper loved pushing around the shopping cart (I'm sad I didn't get a picture of him!). Here's Addi "eating" her soup can that fell out of the cart.

Carolina was very patient in showing Addi the pictures that she'd taken.  Addi loves to see every picture on the back of the camera these days!

Playing fridge farm...

Bring on the snacks!!  What could be better than a Mickey plate full of baby goldfish and fruit snacks?  Not much!  Addi was nice to wait her turn while Meg and Cooper got some...

And then she made her move!

"Cooper, I've got my eye on you!"

"I'm not scared of you Addi!"

Sweet Meg!

Addi did not want to cooperate for our group picture.  It was getting close to nap time for all of them.

The kids did great and played wonderfully together! I think the mommies had just as much fun watching the kids play and chatting.  It was really fun and we can't wait to have our friends back over VERY soon!

brown fun

Since we were iced/snowed in on Thursday, after dinner we wondered a few doors down to the Brown's house.  Hudson went to bed not long after we got there and Suzanne made me promise not to take a picture of her because she "looked awful"...whatever!

The dadas played Wii and had a ball while Addi and I played with Campbell, AKA bebe, and Suzanne, AKA SuSu.

Trav warming up for the big Wii tournament!

Scott in action!

I have no idea what was so funny, but apparently something made all of us laugh!

Addi loved looking at Suzanne's 2010 calendar and finding Hudson in the pictures each month.

Sweet baby boy Campbell, who looks SO much like his older brother at this age.  He was the best little thing and so much to cuddle with.

Except Addi really didn't like me to hold him or snuggle with him.  She insisted on sitting in my lap everytime I held him.  Someone (I'm not naming names) was jealous!!!

It was a very impromptu get together, but we had a great time just relaxing and visiting.  Thanks for the invite and the fun Browns! Let's do it again very soon!!

puppy love

Norman had another ice storm yesterday and its "pouring" snow as I type.  It's beautiful outside.  We've been prepared for the electricity to go out, but thankfully we haven't had to break out our survival kit yet!  The University and Addi's school both closed yesterday and today so Addi and I have just been hanging out!

Yesterday, she latched on to the little puppy dog.  She's had it since her birthday, but she acted like she'd never seen it before in her life.  She pulled it around all morning long!

Come on Puppy, let's go for a little walk...

What's that?  Mickey Mouse is on!

Well let's just wait until this is over and then we'll go for our walk!

It just started, so we'd better just sit down.

Okay, now we can go.

I'll just carry you.

And eat your leash.

Cheese! I {heart} this Puppy!

2 toodies

My friend, Gina, used to call pigtails "toodies".  Her little girls would either ask for 1 toodie or 2 toodies.  I remember thinking that was just too cute!  Well, in the bathtub, Addi can have 2 toodies!  They would never stay with her hair dry, but we can at least play beauty shop at bath time!

warming up

Addi is finally warming up to the rocking horse she got for Christmas.  She's come a long way in the past month.  She started out screaming and crying if she even saw the thing!  We had to put it in the guest bedroom and shut the door.  I moved it into the dining room, hoping she wouldn't mind if it just watched us play in the living room. She didn't like it there either, but finally got used to it after a few days.  She wouldn't touch it or get close, but she always wanted to wave bye-bye to it before bedtime.  We've been inching closer and closer to it and she has finally decided that she sort-of likes the horse!  She loves to find it's eyes, ears, tail and toes and she even pats it's head and gives it sugars!  She also really likes to "get it" just like she does Bailey.  We've made such strides!

"This thing doesn't even flinch when I pull it's tail.  Bailey always runs away! This might work to my advantage."

"Eyeeeeeee"

"Dada, I don't want to ride."

"I really don't think I like this at all..."

"GET ME OFF THIS THING!!!!"

"Okay, I'll give it surgars, but then get me OFF!"

We are not quite there people, but we are getting closer...

sleeping in...

her highchair!  Addi was really sleepy during lunch today and kept nodding off.  Scott and I were just cracking up!  She didn't take a morning nap and we were trying to just make it through lunch before we put her down...she didn't quite make it!
