On Sunday we headed down to Lone Grove to celebrate the 4th and Sherra's Birthday with Scott's family! Since it's so rare that we are all together, we started the day with group pictures!
This is Sherra's mom and dad with 3 of their 5 great-grandchildren!
Addi was ready for some chalkin'!
Shelby and I stuffed some banana peppers using PW's recipe and they were goo-ood Clark!
Addi just ran around and acted crazy, which is pretty much normal!
She had a lot of fun with her Mimi!
And of course she begged Aunt Shelby to get in the pool with her and got her way! She loved the raft!
And the turtle water thermometer!
Next it was time for bubbles with Papa!
She was being such a ham and even smiled for these pictures!!
Then it was time to ride in the "booger" to go feed the horses!
Dada was too cool to ride with us so he hopped on the 4-wheeler.
He just thought he was going to get to cruise around by himself, but then grandma decided she wanted to go too! So funny!
He played nice and didn't even splash her with mud!
Here's the house from where the horses were.
Don't know which one this is...
Woah grandma! Nice do!
Addi wanted to see the "wissies" but from a safe distance...
Shelby had no interest...
Addi kept a very close eye on Papa and what he was doing with the "wissies".
She would only let HIM hold her inside the pin...not even me!
I felt like the PW photographing horses and cowboys!
My pictures didn't turn out quite as good as hers, but almost, right? Not really!
She really just liked playing in the truck though! I love the stray hair that's curled up in back! So funny!
Just as a disclaimer, I DID NOT APPROVE OF THIS!!!!
OR THIS!!!
But she had a ball!
Papa bought her this cow chair several months ago and she has been terrified of it until now. She ended up loving it. Again, I have no idea!
Birthday girl!
We gave Sherra a Happy Everything plate and she loved it!
Then I decided to attempt a family picture. You know how difficult that can be with a 21-month old!
What am I doing? Addi and Scott look perfect! Way to go Erin!
"Addi, leave your bow in!"
Look at that face! She knew exactly what she was doing! Little stinker!
EXACTLY!
So when the stars are all lined up right and this split second happens, all is right in the world!
It was the windiest day we've had in months so my hair was a wreck, but I still am so thankful that Sherra captured these sweet moments.
Addo was in rare form all day...getting close to the "wissies", sitting in the cow chair and even letting Jacob hold her!! Especially while holding a firecracker! What happened to my daughter??
Also, a little sidenote, I bought Addi a Bug Bands (go to their website
here) and she wore this on her ankle Saturday night and all day on Sunday. She didn't get one bug bite! I bought a few more at Target yesterday since they worked so well! I would highly recommend them!
