seaside day 6

Day Six

The last day is always so sad!  You start thinking of all the things you wanted to do, but didn't get around to doing!  The day we pulled into town, I told Scott that I really wanted to do a little photoshoot with Addi while we were there...did that happen...NO!  There are so many other WONDERFUL restaurants that we wanted to eat at too...we really needed to stay another week (or two), but sadly, we couldn't.

Our last walk down Odessa Street to the beach...

I'm so happy Addi gave in and decided to enjoy the beach.  As luck would have it, our last day was by far, her favorite day at the beach!  She had a BLAST!!!

This picture cracks me up!  Both of them in their huge hats!

Hanin' out with Poppy!

Watch out for the water!!!!

Addi and Poppy played a game where they would run into the water when it wend down and then would run back up before the waves could get them!  It was so cute!

Tip-toe in...

and run-run-run-run away!!!!

And tip-toe in...OH NO! It got you!

Exploring and looking for shells.  Poppy is explaining to her how a shell is attached and has a top and bottom.  I don't think she got it.

"Say what?"

We got down the beach and realized we forgot our bucket to carry our "treasures"...good thing Poppy had pockets!!  Addi had to keep checking on her shells to make sure they were still there.

Snack time!  Pink "koolie" again.  We literally had to buy one to bring home because she insistes on having it on her cup!  We've created a monster!

Then Aunt Jackie had a great idea! She moved her chair into the water and Addi thought it was so much fun to dangle her feet and let the water splash them!

Poppy was digging a hole to China...

Then we went in the water.

Three words:
SHE.LOVED.IT.

Addi look at the fun you missed out on all week!  Now we will definitley have to go back next year!  We played in the water forever.  She wanted down in the water (by herself) and couldn't understand why we wouldn't put her down.  She laughed and played and just had the best time.  I'm so happy she loved the beach (finally)!!!

Two things:
1. That hat is hot and does not make for a pretty hair-do!

2. All that playing wore this little girl out!

After lunch, as promised, we returned to the Seaside Toy Shop so Addi could build a bear with Uncle Trev and Aunt Jackie.  She actually built a duckie.  Guess who talked her in to that...

Have you ever watched them actaully stuff one of those animals?  It's pretty crazy!  The machine was a little loud and Addi was not a fan of that part!

Sweetest picture!

Ta-Da!!!
Meet "Quackie"!!!  She's a beach duck and Addi LOVES her!!!

Thank you Uncle Trev and Aunt Jackie!!!

The entire ride home (to Oklahoma) Addi insisted on having Quackie either on her lap or in the seat next to her!  Since we've been home, Quackie has now been added to our nightly roll call...now in order to go to bed, she has to have Quackie, Dolly, not one, but TWO lovies, boppy and blankie!  Good grief!!!

Thank you so much for Quackie!  Obviously, she loves it!

After Quackie was "built" we went back into the Seaside Kids store to play around for a while.  Addi loved that store the most, and thankfully, it was air conditioned!!  Is that not the cutest little Seaside shirt on it with "bud" the dog?  I just loved it!

After we left the market place, we loaded up the car and headed out of town...but not before stopping for one last yummy dinner!  We stopped at Louis Louis, which is owned by the Red Bar.  It was fabulous, of course and then we were homeward bound.

Addi was a perfect traveller on the way home too.  I honestly cannot believe how great she was!  We made it back to Norman without any problems.  Although we were so sad to leave Seaside, it was such a great feeling to be

home sweet home
