Last summer, before I was even pregnant, I stumbled upon this really clever way to document monthly picutes of your little one's first year on Ashley's Blog. Of course, please keep in mind that Ashley is a professional so please don't compare quality! (She's the one who taught the SnapShop class that I attended in May.) I fell in LOVE with the idea and have had it bookmarked ever since. My friend, Liz, is actually doing the same thing with her daughter, Emma, and the pictures are so fun to see each month! I sure hope I can keep it up!!
Obviously, these weren't taken of Halle right way. In fact, they were taken on July 6th, so she was almost 3 weeks old. Oh well, we had to start somewhere!

Yes, my child is brilliant! She's actually pointing to the 17th on the bottom of the calendar! What a smart cookie!!
And I just had to show you guys my fabulous studio!! Can you believe the wonderful space and light? I mean, it's so practical and roomy! Every photographer's dream, really!

What a clever idea!! Even if it wasn't your idea, you implemented it quite well. I can really see improvement in your photos since you took her class. Love your little photo setup too. And of course she's smart, she was born on my birthday!!
these turned out SO GREAT!!!!!! i'm so glad you're doing this, too! you won't regret it. well, until she can crawl then it's real tricky! i actually drape the sheet over the crib and tuck the sides in on the crib feet. gives you a little more room to work with. may not be the lighting you're looking for but i'm not awesome with my canon like you are!! it works for us!

My sister-in-law showed me a blog that had a baby's months documented this way. Unfortunately, my girls were already 6 months old. Oh well, there's always next time! Halle is a doll!!!
