We are all finally breathing to a new yet normal rhythm. I never dreamed it would take me this long to post about our sweet Halle's birthday, but then again, not much happened as I dreamed. Funny how you can plan events to the very last detail, but ultimately, you're not in control of anything.
Addi had been saying in the weeks leading up to Halle's birthday that we were going to have a big birthday party for Halle at the hospital. Since in her little mind that's how things were going to happen, I hit the ground running to plan a very specail birthday party for Miss Halle's arrival. I made birthday banners, had cookies made, there were gifts and even party favors. But the party didn't happen.
For documentation purposes, I will be posting about our eight very long days in the NICU and the grainy cell phone pictures to go along with the story. If you're my friend on facebook, then you've probably gotten your fill of the details and may want to skip the next several posts. It is the story of her birth, however, and I couldn't go without posting.
More details to come, but Halle is home and is doing wonderfully. We love her more than we knew possible. Our hearts are overflowing with pride and love for our two daughters. God is so good.
Until the rest of the post and pictures...
