We saw Dr. S and the PA again today and we still don't know what's going on. The swelling is starting to go down so that's a step in the right direction! We are starting on stronger antibiotic drops and staying on the Benedryl through the weekend and we will see where that gets us. Thanks for all of your sweet comments, email, texts and calls! Yall are the best!!
**ORIGIANAL POST**
Just joking! Addi has not been fighting at school.
Her teacher called me on Monday and asked me to take her to the doctor because she thought Addi might have pink eye in both eyes. I took her in and, sure enough, confirmed pink eye! Dr. S told me to use the antibiotic drops for about 5 days or so, but it should clear up very quickly.
Yesterday we had retake family pictures with Shannon Ho and her teacher called me to tell me that her left eye was looking a little droopy! Scott picked her up and sure enough, it was way droopy. We went ahead and did the pictures anyway...keep your fingers crossed that they turn out! I'm sure Shannon will work her magic! This morning when Addi woke up, her left eye was almost swollen shut!! Scott took her to the PA this morning and they don't know what's wrong with it! The PA called in a doctor, who wanted to start her on oral antibiotics. We decided not to do that right now because of the risk of c-diff! We've treated it with Benedryl all day to rule out allergies and/or allergic reactions, but unfortunatley, it hasn't done a thing for her poor eye! We will go back to the doctor in the morning and go from there. I'm afraid that is going to include oral antibiotics, but we shall see.
I know it's always something, but good grief, isn't it someone elses turn yet?? Our poor sweet baby girl would like a lesson on sharing!

after seeing this pic again, sean said (again) "there's something in there, liz". just thought you'd like to know his opinion hasn't changed...
Topical antibiotics won't cause c-diff...from Rob.
Goodness.... bless her heart. Hope she gets better quick!
Ok, I have never commented on your blog before but you need to get her back to the DR. It looks like she has cellulitis of the eye which is a VERY serious condition. My cousin had this and it took several different antibiotics and almost hospitalization to cure her. Please get a second opinion. Good luck. Jen
