more park fun

Another fun time at the park!  Isn't spring time the best?

Going down the big slide alone!

Looking both ways like a good girl!

Down to the water! I promise not to touch it Mama!

The duckies laid some eggs  and built a nest.  Addi was pretty exciting about seeing them too!

I'm sure we'll be back to check on them!

potty time

Since Addi has moved to the Sunny Twos at school, they've been working on potty training with her.  She's actually doing a great job but we really haven't been enforcing it too much at home because we haven't been home!  Starting at the beginning of April, we are getting serious about it because I REALLY want her done with this before little sister gets here!

On Sunday I pulled out a princess book and told her that she could look at the book if she put her pee pee in the potty.  Five minutes later she peed.  Isn't that amazing?

Now we have our Skittles and princess book in the window of the bathroom as a constant reminder of what happens when here pee pee is in the potty!

Books and extra pull ups right by the potty!

Tonight she put her pee pee in the potty 3 times before bed so she got to look at her book!

I love bribing her!

spring park fun

The weather has been so nice in the evenings and it's been staying lighter longer, which is a great combination for visiting the park after dinner!  We've been taking full advantage of it too!

This series of photos seriously crack me up!  Addi wanted to go down the big slide at the park and Scott was going to climb up behind her to make sure she got to the top okay.  Well, as you can see, she insisted on "MY DO IT DADDY...STAY BACK!"  I have no idea where she gets it!

"I said stay back!"

One time down the slide and she decided it was time to cross the street to go see the duckies.  We've been working on looking both ways before crossing the street.  That's a hard lesson on learn!

Back to the park for just a minute before heading home...

We look forward to many more park evenings! Yay for spring time!!!

i'm a big girl now!

The month of March is almost over and I never even realized it started!  It has been such a crazy-busy month!!  We've had lots going on at the Hofmann House and I hope to get back on a regular blogging schedule soon, but I'm not making any promises.  Two weeks ago I was in NYC with my mom and Shannon and Whitney.  I really only took pictures of Whitney's beautiful wedding dress so I can't post pictures until after the wedding.  MiMi and PaPa came and played for the weekend and I have pictures of that to post soon.  Last weekend I was moving Addi into her new bedroom and this coming weekend we are off to St. Louis to a friend's wedding while LuLu and Poppy come stay with Addi.  I've reached the 6 month point in my pregnancy and I've really been feeling great.  I'm starting to slow down a little but I'm trying my hardest to keep moving forward.  I still have SO MUCH TO DO before little sister is born!!

Well the time has finally come that Addi move into her new BIG GIRL room!!  I spent two days moving her stuff and getting her new room all organized and put together.  Last Friday when I picked her up from school, I told her that her room was all ready and she was so excited.  Once we got home I told her to wait while I got my camera, adjusted the settings, etc., but she ran in and started screaming and jumping on the bed!  It almost brought tears to my eyes she was so excited!!

I didn't have time to adjust my settings, but here are some pictures that I snapped.  I can still hear her squealing!!!

She was so excited, that she put on her tutu, grabbed her ribbon and cranked up her dancin' CD!

And she decided to do a little cooking between songs!

Just like everything else in my life it seems, this too is a work in progress!  I still haven't hung anything on the walls and she has another dresser and hutch that's coming.  I will get around to it soon (hopefully) but for now here are some almost-after pictures!

Closet, minus tags and labels, and a few other details.

Here's her magnet board that Uncle Trevor made:

And here's our favorite celebrity Mr. August himself right out of the Norman Next calendar!  What a hotty!

Here is Addi's cast of characters that used to all be in her toddler bed. I wasn't sure how they would all be arranged in her big girl bed, but she quickly lined them up at the foot of her bed so she could see them all.  They haven't moved since she put them there!

Her first night she fell out once so we put the pillow on the floor and the one between the nightstand.  The second night she got wedged between the bed and the wall so we put a pillow there now, too.  Each night she still asks to sleep in the "baby room", but she knows what the answer is always going to be.

First night, sound alsleep!

Sweet dreams Addi-Girl!

She's really doing a great job in her new big girl bed. We are so proud!!

too small

Last week I picked up Addi from school wearing this:

That would be a ONESIE that is size 18 months!  She had an accident at school and these were the clothes that were in her tub.  Guess I forgot to send a bigger size...YIKES!  It had a plunging neckline and it was almost 3/4 sleeves on her. Poor girl!

She also had on size 18 month pants with a ruffle on the butt!   Too funny!! Check out these highwaters!

Despite her outfit that was entirely too small and her chapped lips that were painful to even look at, I just couldn't get enough of this girl!!  She melts my heart!
