back in town!

Guess who's back in town???  Aunt Shelby!!

Addi has been missing Shelby over the summer and was so excited when she came over the other night!  We decided to take Aunt Shelby to one of our favorite summer hang outs...

All of the tables and benches were taken...Eskimo Sno was hoppin!!  We just found a little spot on the curb to enjoy our tasty treat!

One for you...

And one for me!

Good grief! I have created a cleaning moster!  This girl totally FREAKS out if there is one little thing on her!  She dripped her snow cone on her toe and demanded a "wipie" immediately!

After snow cones, we headed to the park for a little more fun!

"Higher Aunt Shelby!!"

Look at me!

See-saw time!

AAAAH! I just love the park!!

Going up the BIG slide!!

WWWEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

Such a fun night!  We're all so excited that Aunt Shelby is back in town for the semester!
Come over any time!

going bananas

Addi has sure been on a banana kick lately!

Just about every day when we get home from school, she is begging for one!
She's such a big girl and can hold it now all by herself!

These pictures have nothing to do with eating bananas, but they were funny.  This is how Addi says the elephant goes.  She points her index finger at her tounge and then points it out.  Thank to Uncle Trevor doing that one time in Florida, Addi has not forgotten it!

And this is Addi saying "bitty bitty" for ity bitty.

Seriously, I'm bananas for this girl!

back in the gym

Since schools have started back to classes, so has the gym where Addi takes gymnastics!  Last week was our first class.  Addi was so excited to go back after our summer break.  Liz is about a week away from having her sweet baby girl, Emma, and Sean couldn't come, so Scott and I got a taste of what it's like to have twin 2 year old (give or take) girls!  WOW!!!!  Liz still came, of course, and was our photographer...thanks Liz!!

Here we are before class started!

First station, the HUGE trampoline!  Both girls did great and they loved having the foam pit behind us!  Scott got in the pit and caught the girls while they were waiting their turn for the trampoline!

Then we went over to the BIG foam pit...Scott had Addi and I had Olivia.  Scott and Addi hopped right in and did some "island hopping".  I grabbed Olivia and decided to "hop" too, but it wasn't as easy as Scott made it look!  I totally fell, but tried to to be so graceful! I was so sore the next morning!!  Oops!  Thanks for capturing that Kodak moment Liz.

Just taking a little break on the side.

Back in for more action!

Next up, back to the tumble room for rings, cartwheels, balance beam and bars!

Addi really has gotten so much stronger than last May.  Last year she couldn't hang on the rings, much less pull her legs up into a tuck!  Way to go Addi!!

Olivia did a great job too!  Such smart little girls!

Now she just holds one finger instead of two hands!

Look at MO go!!! No hands or fingers!  Way to go MO!!!

Cartwheel station...we still need to work on that!

We're so happy to be back in the gym!  Addi loves going to "nastics" and she's already talking about going back this week!

say what?

So Addi is starting to say some really fun things these days!  I wish I could just carry around a little tape recorder with me all the times because when we try to get her on video saying things, she clams up!  In an effort to keep track of her funny "Addi-isms", I thought I'd start blogging about them!

I know I've mentioned here before that one of the reasons I started blogging is to document our family happenings.  I don't journal or scrapbook so this is my attempt to keep track of what we've done.  According to Addi's babybook, she's still 3 months old!  I know, mother of the year, right here!

swimming while we can

Summer is nearing the end, and we're tyring to squeeze in a few more trips to the pool!  I can't believe it's almost the end of August...where did summer go?

Addi has become so comfortable in the water this summer.  She's really done a great job jumping in to us and even going under water!  I'v been so proud of her!

Last Saturday we made a quick trip to the pool.  We were sad our normal pool buddies (the Roberts Three...almost FOUR) couldn't come with us!  Addi had fun riding around on Scott's back in the water.  She thought that was a pretty cool trick!

This was the closest she came to actually looking at me!  Too busy swim, swim, swimming!

The one thing she has not mastered is laying on her back...floating on her back is out of the question!  I guess she just doesn't like it, but she just squirms and squirms!

"That's it Dada...I'm D-O-N-E!!!  Let's go get a snack!"
