Just My Size!

Addison loved rocking in LuLu's rocking chair last weekend.

Then she discovered the rocking chair that was mine when I was little...she loved the Addi-size rocker too!!

You thought I was kidding?

Seriously, this is what every picture looked like the other night! This is Addison speed crawling to the camera to grab the lens cap! I've got to take it off just to get good pics again. Looks like I'm back to square one with misplacing the removable lens cap...oh well!

Hello Applause!!!

Our little Tornado learned two new tricks this weekend, but I’ve yet to capture either one on the camera! Every time I’ve made an attempt, the dangling lens cap would catch her attention and before I knew it she would be up in my lap trying to get the camera…therefore, another pictureless post!

(Drum roll please….) Addison now claps AND waves hi/bye-bye. Her wave is so stinkin’ cute…it’s just a simple, very understated wave of her right hand and usually it’s down by her waist instead of up by her face or over the head. Nothing big and bold; it’s just very dainty. I looked at her on the video monitor this morning and she was sitting up in bed, practicing on her wave and chatting away to her lovie. Watch out…she might be up for Miss America with that wave!!!!

Tornado

Erin: "Scott, try those shoes on Addison and see if they fit. Liz bought them for Olivia and they are too small. If they fit Addi, I'm just going to buy them from her."

(pause...)

Erin: "Do they fit?"

Scott: "I have no idea! It's hard to put shoes on a tornado!!"

On a very different note...

This morning I found out that a girl I grew up with in Ardmore lost her 8 month old baby girl last night. It was a tragic accident; I don't know all the details, but it doesn't really matter. All day I have just been sick at my stomach and thinking about it non-stop. I couldn't wait until five o'clock came so I could pick up Addison from Peg's house and give her hugs and kisses! It is so terrible how it takes such a devastating event to make us all so thankful for what we have in our lives. Words cannot express what that family must be going through right now...I honestly can't even begin to imagine! Laurie - I am so sorry for your loss and I know how much you are going to miss your sweet Jaylyee!
