there's light at the end of the tunnel

I took Addison back to the pediatrician today and we got some good news! Her ears are still infected, but they are looking much better! We were also referred to an ENT and have a consultation scheduled for next week. This little girl is getting tubes very soon. I can't say that I'm excited about it because it's surgery on our daughter, but I know that it's going to make her feel so much better so I'm trying to keep my focus on the end result! Unfortunately she got the bad ear gene from both her mommy and daddy...Scott and I both had terrible ear infections growing up and got got tubes. I appreciated the advice I got today from a friend who is a PA at our pediatrician's office. She said that everyone will tell me that it will be fine and it will, but it's still very scary because it is MY daughter! Thanks for your concern and support. Hopefully Addi will be feeling better very soon!
