geoffrey saves christmas!

While Addi had visions of sugarplums dancing in her head, Geoffrey was off saving Christmas!

As you can see from the note, there was a mixup with the snow storm and Santa left Addi's gifts in Ardmore! Geoffrey flew there in the storm and brought back Addi's stocking so she would have something to play with today! Isn't he so great?!?

Geoffrey, we're so glad you're part of our family! Thanks for saving Christmas!!

snowed in!

Scott got off work today at noon and shortly after we set out on our trip to Ardmore. An hour and a half later, we were only a mile or so down the road. We witnessed 5 wrecks and decided to turn around and come home. It was very sad to make that decision, but it was definitely smart! On the way home, our windows were frozen over and we couldn't see our exit so I had to roll down my window and stick my head out into the blowing snow! Looking back, it really was a crazy experience!

When we got home and got the car unloaded, we realized that we had no food and Addi was almost out of diapers! Since the stores are closed tomorrow, Scott braved the store again and made a trip to Wal-Mart. He saw 13 stranded cars on Main Street stuck in the deep snow drifts on his way there! Before he left for the store, we decided we wanted to have a traditional Christmas lunch tomorrow, so a turkey breast was at the top of his list. He searched high and low and found the last 10 in the store. While he was trying to pick the perfect one, a lady walked up and took 2 so he just grabbed one! Thankfully he secured the bird! He finally made it home (after stopping at the liquor store too!). When he got home we heard on TV that all the interstates in the state were closing and that people were being directed to exit and find shelter. We are very thankful that we are safe tonight and in the comfort of our own home. Sure, we'd rather be with our families, but we are safe and that's all that matters!

Snow in the driveway when we got home.

Scott trying to de-ice the windshield before his treck to Wal-Mart.

Addi playing in the pantry while DaDa was shopping.

Snow about an hour after we got home...it's piling up fast!

Snow mountain on our back patio!

Crazy snow by the front door!

Snow in the front yard piled high!

It's so deep!

My azaleas all lit up under the snow.

The snow is taller than the bushes out front!

Look at that crazy wind pattern!

Tonight we were supposed to spend the evening with my mom and dad, Trevor and Jackie and my Granny. Even though we couldn't be there, we still got to see each other for a little bit thanks to Windows Live! Trevor and Jackie picked up Bailey yesterday and took her to Ardmore with them so she's there without us. Addi loved seeing everyone on the computer!

More pictures to come of Christmas morning at the Hofmann household!

Merry Christmas to you all! We hope you are safe where ever you are!

inaugural christmas dinner/gift exchange

Tonight we had the inaugural Roberts-Hofmann Christmas Dinner/Gift Exchange. We met at our favorite dinner spot, Mazzio's (it was Tuesday buffet night too!!).

Disclaimer...Addi fell and hit her head on the coffee table Sunday night. Poor thing has an awful bruise to show for it now!

Addi trying to eat with a fork like Olivia!

Olivia using a fork like a champ!

MO and Addi giving 5's!
Liz, loving her lovin' from Addi! She was such a snuggler tonight and Liz was eating it up!!
After dinner we came back to our house and let the girls play for a while. They had toys strung all over the living room and kitchen but had so much fun!! Then, the moment we'd all been waiting for...the gift exchange!!!
You can just see the anticipation on their faces...not really! It's more like, "why are you shaking those jingle bells at us mom???" type of expression!

Okay, they are getting really excited here...can't you tell?

MO: Addi I'm so excited!!! I think I'll hug you before I open my gift!! THANK YOU!
Addi: But MO, you don't even know what I gave you yet! Just open it!
I think Liz is more excited than MO here!

What is it Mommy?
It's a super cool doll, Olivia, that does so many fun things...like zip, velcro, button, snap, and more!

Oh, I do love it! How fun!!! Thanks Addi!

Now it's Addi's turn...

She literally gasp when she saw the tissue paper and she didn't even know what was inside!

I just love it!!!! What is it?

It's an apron! How CUTE!!!!

DaDa got my jingle bells strapped on my ankle so I can show MO how to do the jingle dance!

Sean: MO, look at Addi! She can Jingle Dance!
MO: She looks so silly daddy! I don't want to do that!! I'd rather just stand in this box!
Is she still dancing? I just want to sit right here until she's done.
The girls making a mess with the fridge farm pieces. They had fun and that's all that matters!

Darling apron!

Up close...Mr. Giggles font! It's so super cute!!! Thanks MO!! Can't wait to have our paint date soon!!

christmas jammies

Addi has several pair of Christmas jammies, but these are her favorite!! LuLu got them for her and they have owls on them! They look like big girl pj's and they are oh, so cute!

This is what happens when you try to play peek-a-boo from behind the camera to get a smile! It's the only one I got of her looking though, so it will have to do!

let the christmasing begin!

We went to Duncan on Saturday to have our first round of Christmas with the Hofmann side of the family. Even though Addi wasn't feeling 100%, she still had a great time!

Grandma Lavina got a pink Snuggie and Addi thought it was for her! Really, she just loved the box best!

PaPa took her outside to get some fresh air. Addi loves her outside time!

Addi enjoyed playing with the fake cat. She really thought it was funny!
We tried to get a group picture at Thanksgiving of the great-great-grandkids for Grandma Lavina. Since she was able to join us for Christmas, we attempted to get a group picture again. Addi wasn't too sure about sitting in Karleigh's lap, but this is the best we got!
Opening gifts was so much fun!

Addi loved sitting in cousin Kara's lap because she had Christmas Cookies!!

Who knew DaDa was so talented?? Addi thought it was so fun watching him juggle!

Merry Christmas Duncan family!!!
