pumpkin funfetti cupcakes

So I saw this recipe on Pinterest and it was too easy not to try!

1 box funfetti cake mix
1 can pumpkin
that's it.

Mix it together and don't forget the funfetti sprinkles!

Is it good?

Yep!  She's going back for seconds!

and thirds!

I used my cookie scoop and put 2 scoops in each baking cup.

They didn't really fill out the baking cups and looked more like drop biscuits.  Oh well. They were still yummy!

I had regular icing for them but since the surfaces were so uneven I really didn't want to use them.  I noticed on the wrapper of the Pillsbury Funfetti icing it said to look under the wrapper for more icing ideas.

Did you know that you can melt icing down and use it as a glaze?

I had no idea!  Just put some in a bowl and microwave for about 20 seconds and drizzle with a spoon.  Amazing.

happy hal

This girl is seriously the happiest baby ever.

ever.

ever.

glitter glue

On Saturday morning I surprised Addi with some glitter glue pens.  She was SO super excited to use them and I told her she could paint her pumpkin however she wanted.

Let's get this party started!

She didn't waste any time...

Pretty, huh?

Ta-da! Nice work Addi-girl!

2011 costumes

So Addison wanted to me the Little Mermaid.  I'm not one for characters so I talked her in to being Addison the Mermaid.  When I asked her what Halle should be she want her to be a mermaid just like her.  After finding Addison's costume, I realized of course it didn't come in Halle's size.  So I had to make it.  Let's just say lots of elastic thread and velcro are holding her skirt together.  It definitely left some wiggle room, if you know what I mean.

So here they are Friday night before we headed to the Trails trick-or-treat party!
(Addi was NOT in to the party so we left.  Without taking any pictures.)

babbling babies halloween party

I suppose "party" isn't the right term, but whatever you want to call it, the babies wore the costumes for about 20 minutes one day.  They actually did on the 21st so the girls didn't dress up the same day at school.  I liked it that way because it was much easier on me.  Ha!

Here's my little mermaid...cutest one I've ever seen!

Halle's teacher, Nicole, propped the babies up by the fall decor in the school lobby for some pics.  So cute!

HYSTERICAL!

Everyone was upset but H.  She felt left out so she chimed in but only for a second.

Nice recovery H.
(do you see the tiny tear on her cheek?)

Happy Halloween Babbling Babies!
