fall to do's

Obviously we are well in to fall, but here's a little sneaky peek at what's on our fall to-do list. Fall is my absolutely MOST favorite time of the year!  We've had fun checking a few things off our list and can't wait to do even more!
Happy Fall Y'all!

soccer 101

One afternoon when I picked Addi up from school, there was a note at the bottom of her daily sheet that said to bring shin guards the following day for soccer practice with Coach.  What?  Did I accidentally sign my child up for soccer without knowing?  And shin guards...what the heck?  Oh yeah, I forgot I just happened to have that pair of toddler size shin guards in the garage...I could just dust those off.  Yeah right.  I had to figure this out, and fast!

I stopped by the office on the way to the parking lot and asked about soccer practice and Coach.  Apparently there's a guy in Norman who travels around to some of the daycares and gives soccer lessons...sort of like Tumblebus for all of you Normanites.

Addi doesn't even know what soccer is, let alone what a ball looks like or how to play.  So after dinner we grabbed our pink volleyball (it was the closest thing we had) and headed outside for Scott to give Addi a crash-course in soccer.  It was hysterical!

Addi, you don't sit on the ball, you kick it.

Addi, stay on the grass, not the sidewalk.

This is hard work, daddy!

Once she had the basics, we set up a make-shift goal with a watering can and shovel...

Well that blew her mind, so soccer practice was officially over.

Meanwhile, Halle was happy as could be on her quilt...

After school the next day, Addi told us that she loved soccer!  I was a little worried that she'd want to sign up to play soccer with Coach, but nothing else has ever been said about it after the first lesson.  Thank goodness!

back in business...and park pictures

Okay people, I think I'm back in business.  As much as I didn't want to have to go through Picasa to load my pictures to Blogger, I realized that I'd rather do that than learn a new host.  I signed up at Typepad and even imported my entire blog.  Once I really started looking around, however, I realized that it was just so different than Blogger.  SO...I'm going the Picasa route right now and it seems to be okay.  Now that I have that figured out, I have over a month to blog about.  Whew! So, here we go...

The day that I took Addi's three year pictures, I actually had to bribe her to do anything.  She wanted to go to the park and to get candy.  Fine.  I gave in and we did both, because I really got some great shots! So here we are at the First Baptist park.  It was a beautiful day and we had such a great time as a family.

Sour face!

Slide races with daddy...

Halle girl enjoyed the day in the shade.

Such a fun park date with the girls!

why is nothing easy??

Okay, so I've decided to make the switch to Typepad, but I'm having major difficulties getting Blogger to export all of my files.  I am seriously beyond frustrated right now and I just don't have the time to deal with it!  AHHHH!  I would pay someone good money to just do all of this silly stuff for me...I just want to be able to blog again!  Is that too much to ask for?  Please say a little prayer for me so I don't pull out the hair that's left in my head (post-baby)!

Hopefully I'll have good news soon...

new host?

Okay I've about had it with Blogger!  I have had more trouble uploading pictures in the past 2 months than I've ever had.  I am weeks behind on blogging just because I don't have the time to sit down and mess with trying to figure out the problem!  Every time I try to upload pictures, EVERY picture is horizontal.  I've talked to several people who have the same problem.  One friend said to try uploading to Picassa and then to Blogger, but that is an extra step that I just don't have time to take. Another friend recommended renaming the files and then uploading, but again, I simply don't have time for that.  What happened to the good ol' days when I could just upload multiple pictures at a time and they all showed up they way they were supposed to??

SO, I'm asking you guys...have you found any tricks that work?  I really am tempted to change hosts...does anyone have a recommendation?  Typepad?  Wordpress?

I am so frustrated and sad that I'm so far behind on blogging!  I have TONS of pictures ready to post, but I can't get them on here to save my life.

PLEASE HELP!!
