sad goodbye's

I know you all are probably sick of hearing me ramble on and on about how dearly we loved Addison's daycare provoder, Peg, and how badly we miss her! I just had to share one last thing with you. These were her gifts to Addison on her last day. Instead of buying gifts for her "graduates" she send them home with their favorite tokens from her playroom...how sweet!!

She sent home three things with Addison. Her favorite book, Goodnight Mood (which Addison chewed up like a puppy dog - Peg also wrote such kind words in the front); her purple rythm egg that Addi loves to shake; and an empty canister of Happy Bellies cereal. The story behind the cereal is that if/when Addison started to get cranky in her highchair and it wasn't time to get out yet, Peg would tell Addi that she needed to be a happy baby (and she would point to the baby on the canister) and it always made Addi smile. I just think that's the sweetest story ever!!!





We love you Peg and miss you so, so much!!!

Two Saturdays ago, we got to shower our dear friend Suzanne with lots of love and laughter as she's expecting her 2nd baby boy in November, Campbell (no middle name yet) Brown!! Suzy, I LOVE the name!!!

On day 3 of Addison's new school (which was last Monday) I got the call to come pick her up...she had the tummy bug! Needless to say, I didn't take any pictures last week. Trust me, it's not something I care to remember!

boomer sooner baby

As many of you know, OU's opening game was on Saturday in Dallas at the new Cowboy's Stadium. We made the trek to Dallas for the big game with my family and Addison stayed in Ardmore with MiMi and PaPa. Thankfully she was over her bug and had a wonderful time! Although the Sooners didn't pull off the win, this Soomer baby was darn cute!!!

I have been the worst blogger ever!!! I do believe that August 2009 was the busiest month in my life to date! I've been vague in my blogs but basically I've hit the highlights. It really made me feel bad tonight when Scott asked if I was ever going to blog again - he said he missed reading my posts on his lunch hour. I thought that was funny because he knows everything that I blog about, but he said he really likes reading it and seeing the pictures. Babe...I'm back!
