calendar girl - september 2011

How on earth can she already be three months old? I don't know where the time has gone!  I know I keep saying that I'll take less pictures, but now that Halle is smiling, it's just impossible! Her gummy grin truly melts my heart!

Such a Chatty Cathy!

school birthday party with the busy threes

For Addison's birthday we made chocolate chip pumpkin muffins to take to school.  These are probably my most favorite fall treat and I make them every year for her class party.

Instead of a party hat, Addi wanted to take a purple crown.  Whatever the birthday girl wants!

The kids just love it when a parent comes to class!  They all have 100 things to tell and show you which is so cute.

Snack time is right after naps so a few kids were still a little sleepy.  Like William.

And Ian.

It didn't take them long to perk right up!

We had so much fun celebrating with the Busy Threes!

At the OU vs. Missouri game Scott and some of his buddies set up a tailgate.  It was a lot of fun and we were right next to a big tailgate that our friends do every week.  The weather was nice and there were going to be lots of kids running around, so we thought this would be a fun game for Addi.

When we got to the tailgate, she didn't really have much interest in playing with the other kids, which was a little strange I thought.  She had been so excited about it.  I think there was just a lot going on and she didn't really know a lot of the other kiddos.  She decided to stick close to us and play int he rocks.  Whatever makes you happy, Addi-girl!

The way she sits just KILLS my knees!  Ouch!

She watched a squirrel forever until he finally shimmied up the ivy on the side of Gittenger Hall.

Then she decided to bake strawberry cakes for everyone at the tailgate.  Isn't she such a thoughtful little thing?

Here she is passing out her cakes to everyone.  I'm sure they were all super impressed with her impromtu baking skills!

Here's where she starts getting bored...

Mommy, I'm ready to leave...

What, we still have another hour?  Oh brother!

I thought a cupcake might take her mind off wanting to leave, and I thought right!

Poke it in, girl.

Since her 2nd set of ear tubes, I've noticed that she's really sensitive to loud noises.  She didn't like the noise at the stadium and covered her ears all the way up the ramps to the upper deck.

cell phone party pic!

I absolutely LOVE it that she knows all the traditions at such a young age!  This was her first game of the season but she still remembered all the right things to do.  What a little Sooner!
