baby ferris is on the way!

Yesterday afternoon, our house was full of friends and family showering Merideth with love and gifts to welcome her new little one. She isn't due until the first week of September, but her sister, Maegan, is in town from Boston. Merideth looks amazing...you can't even tell she's pregnant until she turns sideways!

Mer does it the old fashioned way and doesn't find out what she's having...so fun and exciting! We went with a neutral color scheme and classic dots...it was just darling!

I painted this little canvas for Mer. I told her that once the baby has arrived I would fill in the circles with his or her name instead of just "baby".

My mom was in town to help me out and boy did she help...I couldn't have gotten it all done without her! Thanks Mom! She spray painted these letters for me and then I painted the detail work on it.

This was our food table. All of the hostesses did an amazing job on the food. Joy's sugar cookies were my fav...they were SO yummy!!

The drink table was in the kitchen and it was all tasty too. I made these cute little water bottle labels to match the table toppers and they were a hit too!

Once the shower started, I was so busy juggling hosting and tending to Addison, I didn't get to take any more pictures. I didn't even get a picture of her in her darling little pink Feltman Brother's dress. Believe me...it was too cute!!

The shower was so much fun! Congrats Mer...we can't wait to meet "baby"!!

a new favorite

This little girl is sneaky! I was in the kitchen with her and looked up and she was gone! I called her name and then heard a noise right under me. She was standing under the kitchen table in between two chairs...she thought it was the most clever hiding spot ever! Since then, she's really grown to love "hiding" under tables. Here are some pics of her under the dining room table. She especailly likes to duck under here when she and Bailey are playing chase around the table. She can fit and Bailey can't...is she smart or what?!

a-bangin' and a-clangin'

Addison had a blast making all kinds of noise with these bowls and her wooden spoon. Oh to be young again where even the smallest and most ordinary things are so fascinating and amusing!

pear pops

On Saturday morning, Addi and I made pear popsicles (it was a very complicated recipe that had many ingredients...not really, it was just juice and water!). When we got back from the swimming pool, they were ready to be tasted. I think she liked them...she kept smacking her lips together and smiling really big!

#2

Addison's 2nd tooth has popped through finally. No more gummy smile, but this one still melts my heart!
